Juice Plus looks like a fine product, but for the amount/price Shakeology has more ingredients (over 70), more benefits and a larger serving size. The Juice Plus pills are just that, non-meal pills, and the Juice Plus complete has far fewer ingredients and protein for example.

Shakeology fills me up for a few hours and I’d rather have an awesome shake than pills. My favorites are: the vanilla with half a frozen banana, chocolate with PB2, and today I had a chocolate covered cherry version by adding some 100% cherry juice! I couldn’t drink it fast enough.

I drank all my Chocolate Shakeology with cherry juice and this is the result.

Regarding the Juice Plus shakes

No comparison. Reasons Shakeology is better:

  • If you’re a guy working to build muscle, I would avoid soy as much as I can and the Juice Plus shake has two kinds of soy protein. Soy mimics estrogen, a female hormone, albeit weakly.
  • Sugar: by weight, JP has TWICE as much as Shakeology. Why pay for that much sugar?
  • 33% more protein by weight in Shakeology
  • 70+ healthy ingredients vs about 30 for JP. Shakeology has non-food beneficial items like probiotic bacteria that keep your insides working well.
  • 20% larger serving size in Shakeology with 30% fewer calories. Probably all that sugar in JP
