I’ve started enjoying my waffles this way:

I put just enough syrup and Smart Squeeze on to make it sweet. Not swimming in it. So you can pick them up and they are still crispy around the edges too.

These are Aldi Fit and Active Whole Grain waffles, 70 cals each. I used Margies’s Banana Strawberry all natural ‘syrup’ on two, and agave on another. Agave is nice because it’s thin and soaks in.

Less calories, crunchier, no fork needed, less syrup rinsed into the drain. All wins!
